Meets marketing and sales revenue objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Determines annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual regional sales quotas; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analyzing trends and results; recommending pricing strategies; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand.
Develops and implements effective sales/distribution plans toward the achievement of the corporate annual revenue budget.
Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for each region, defends the same with the Managing Director/CEO for approval and implementation across the board.
Leads nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets as approved on a consistent monthly basis.
Establishes productive and professional relationships with major key distributors, modern trade outlets, and wholesalers/retailers especially in Lagos state, and replicate same in up-country regions.
Negotiates and closes trade agreements with Super Key Distributors in Lagos and up-country.
Establishes efficient modern trade business with major supermarkets (Category A, B & C) in Lagos state and replicate same in up-country regional.
Manages and coordinates Lagos sales team daily sales operational activities and oversees up-country operational activities by regular calls and trade visit; ensures sales team adheres to weekly route plan, submit daily sales activity reports and activation of daily market development drive where recruitment of new customers/keeping current customers are given top priorities.
Conducts market research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities for proper business growth-develops biscuits customers to purchase cake category of products.
Liaise with SOP unit for provision of regular products availability and best logistic operation services.
Keeps abreast of new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board. Identify and contact potential customers for new business opportunities.
Motives and guides sales team to achieve revenue targets.
Regularly conduct training programs for the sales team to address their training needs and broaden knowledge in traditional & retail sales operations.
Prepares operational sales team requirements and sources for recruitment of experienced staff as approved.
Prepares all necessary sales report to keep management abreast of the performance of the products, market situational reports, market survey, feedback, and address key issues that move the company to the next level required.
Well exposed to B2B Marketing and must have exposure in leading a sales team.
Experience (7+ years) across the FMCG and Flour Milling sector excessive traveling is required in and around Nigeria/West Africa.
Food Technology, Chemistry or similar Bachelors Degree
Established distributor and supermarket connections would be highly advantageous
